Notes from the build

1. It would have been a lot easier if we had been able to break things :)
But we had to keep everything clean gravel is hard to sweep glass out of.
2. Removing the Glass from the car took 2 people over an hour!
3. DW and KD would like to thank Uncle for providing a place and the parts to work on.
4. It was a great time!
5. For reference the total build time was 6 hours, excluding lunch break. But we estimate that we could have done a more complete stripping if we were able to make a mess in 4 hours.
6. We all grew up in Wyoming and we have all pulled engines, swapped trannies, welded with cutting torches and coat hanger wire, and changed our own oil.
7. We are planning on doing another build next year. We currently have a donor truck lined up :)
8. The car was a donor headed to the scrap metal dealer. We had to put a rear end in it, drop an engine, transmission and drive shaft, put in front brake tubes, fill, bleed, and test the brakes, swap ignitions, find a working battery, and strip the car.
9. We think we would have made a great balanced team. Uncle to made machines that will win (he can build about anything). KD to come up with off the wall ideas, that will work, and has a sense of the dramatic and a certain flare to make sure we don't get done early. DW to make it all look good on TV; and as a science teacher to help explain what we did :
